Baccarat is a chance-based card game played against a banker. This is a popular game in Vegas as well as Asian casinos.
Before a hand begins, the player sets the wager. The minimum bet is $1, and the player can bet on his hand to be the high hand, the banker’s hand to be the high hand or a tie. The dealer deals two cards each to the player and himself. If the player’s hand value is less than six or if the banker’s hand value is less than seven, additional cards are dealt. If the player correctly guesses the outcome, he wins. High player hand pays out 1:1, and high banker hand pays out the same minus a 5-percent commission. A tie pays out 9:1.
